September 06 - All change in the Brighouse circuit:
Revd Ian Coverdale, the minister of Central, and Superintendent minister of the
Brighouse Circuit:
| I have been a Methodist minister for sixteen
years serving in Ellesmere Port and Bramhall. Before that I worked in
health planning and management consultancy in local government, being
Consultancy Manager for Cheshire County Council before entering the
ministry.
I am a Lancastrian by birth (and proud of it!) even though for almost
the last thirty years I have lived and worked in Cheshire. My faith centres on the person and work of Jesus Christ. So Central Methodist Church’s slogan “Where Christ is Central” suits me fine. That task of making Christ central is not, however, only about the churchy part of our lives but should touch every part of our being. I have seen the most unlikely lives transformed by an encounter with Jesus Christ and look forward to playing my small part in introducing others to him. |

Revd Steph Jenner, the minister of the three smaller churches in the circuit:
|
I am a probationer minister in my first appointment
in the Brighouse Methodist Circuit with responsibility for Clifton
Methodist Church, Ebenezer Methodist Church (Bailiff Bridge) and St
Matthew's Local Ecumenical Partnership (shared with the Anglican Church)
in Rastrick. I have lived in Bradford for the last 20 years,
apart from a 3 year stint in Halifax. I originally came to the
university to study Civil Engineering. My passions in life are for awareness and justice
and hence I am very keen on all aspects of environmental protection,
especially recycling, and Fair Trade. I hope to be able to journey with people as we grow spiritually, talk readily of God and live our lives in love, action and affirmation following the example of Jesus Christ. |
